I Bet You a Dollar it will Rain Tomorrow is another piece based on speech acts. Betting is a simple, everyday social contract we make with words. This table was modeled after multiple games of chance, and activated by games and rules invented by 15 High School students who staffed the table for 3 consecutive months. The wager consisted of wooden tokens where participants would write the value they were willing to assign to the coin: a favor, a coffee, a song, a hug, etc. Most of the time the house would win and accrue these wooden tokens.
