These images are built by the repetition of a speech act associated with the hand gesture depicted. The letter M is used to make shadows, and spaces are used to make highlights. In addition, a larger image is superimposed on another layer. It acts both like a puzzle and watermark, that allows multiple prints to recombine and form a larger image.
