A traditional sculpting stand serves as the tripod for a TV camera modeled out of clay. A real teleprompter is attached to the camera's lens. As one approaches the object, one is placed in the position of a speaker and its public. The prompter places the text between you and an implied audience. A fragment of a speech floats in a mirror. You may read it out loud or in your head, either way you address the void of the clay vessel. Perhaps you are only wishing on a well.
