MATERIALS: Performative lecture and video animation.
This performative lecture uses a mixture of narrative techniques: non-linear, disjointed, frame story, and a dash of stream of consciousness. These techniques are used to speak of the history of monuments, their relationship to memory, amnesia, social urban spaces; and finally appeals for their potential to be re-imagined as opportunities for civic and political engagement.
